USED STEELWELD SHEAR (The Cleveland Crane & Engineering Company, Inc.) This is a MECHANICAL SHEAR, not hydraulic... Rated Cutting Capacity is 14' x 3/16" MILD STEEL (12 gauge stainless???) Model Number: 314 Serial Number: M-3745 (See Pics) Year model is 1950...(We have a serial number book that identifies this machine.) We DO NOT have any books or drawings on this machine. Come to Memphis, TN and see this machine under power !!! We have cycled this machine and tested under load. It seems to perform just fine. It cuts down to 12 gauge just fine, but we tried some 16 gauge and it want to fold the material and NOT cut. If you need to cut light gauge you must "shim" these blades. My observations on this Shear: * This shear has a MANUAL BACKGAUGE that is operated by a hand crank on the right side of the machine (SEE PICS) * This shear has a 24" deep gap in each end of the frame (SEE PICS) * There is a "quick" mechanical adjustment for the blade gap on the right side of machine * Clutch is AIR TRIP with ELECTRIC foot pedal (Air trip can be seen in PICS on left side.) * The main drive motor is 15 HP, dual voltage, 3 phase. It could be wired 208/220/230 or 440/460/480 voltage. There is an internal transformer tapped for 220 volt, so it is currently set-up to run this voltage. YOU could change this if needed. * The blades on this shear look to be in very good condition * This machine is HEAVY, at least 40,000 lbs. * Please look closely at all pics, there are no broken welds or "rewelds" * Appearance of mechanical clutch, backgauge looks good, machine is clean * There are some minor loose parts we can not identify, but they may be parts previously repaired * The paint job on the machine seems recent, within the last 5 years Up to 500 miles is $ 1,500.00..........up to 1000 miles is $ 2,200.00............up to 1500 miles is $ 3,200.00........up to 2000 miles is $ 4,200.00.
