The Motorola (Triplett / Harris) TDMA 1000 is a portable cellular test system designed to automatically test analog EAMPS cellular telephones and dual mode analog EAMPS/TDMA digital cellular telephones. The tester will provide pass/fail results and parametric measurements. The tester is designed to provide complete test capabilities for the user with a minimal amount of technical expertise in cellular telephone technology as well as detail testing capabilities for service technicians and engineers. The test system provides a wide range of tests for both the analog and digital functions of cellular telephones. This tester can be used in the field or on a bench, to verify an installation, verify a problem, analyze a failed cellular telephone, verify a new cellular telephone, or repair, calibrate and adjust cellular telephones.
The Motorola TDMA 1000 may be powered from an AC power pack, car cigarette lighter adaptor, or internal battery. The tester will operate for at least four continuous hours from the internal battery pack when it is fully charged.
The results of the testing can be viewed on the LCD display and/or printed out to a serial or parallel printer. This information is stored in the tester's non-volatile memory. The tester will save the results of the last 32 tests performed. The tests are time and date stamped and marked with the cellular telephone's ESN number automatically to identify each test result stored in memory.
The Motorola TDMA 1000 offers all of the features and functions necessary for service, maintenance and installation of conventional EAMPS and TDMA dual mode cellular telephones.
The ergonomically designed front panel makes the unit extremely easy to operate. A large, easy-to-read LCD screen displays all test parameters and Help information at a glance.

The Motorola TDMA 1000 will test and verify the proper installation and function of TDMA dual mode digital and analog cellular telephones in accordance with standard IS-54B.
The TDMA 1000 serves as an emulator of the base station by simulating base station functions and interrogating the telephone. The TDMA 1000 will simulate incoming dialing, establish (simulated) communication, identify incoming dialing and produce audio signals through the entire telephone path. The TDMA 1000 will measure the performance parameters of the telephone and ensure these parameters meet the prescribed specifications.
The TMDA 1000 features a simple user interface to ensure a quality installation for even an inexperienced installation technician. It also verifies that the telephone is working in order.
