With the ability to accept both BWO and solid state plug-ins, the 8690 mainframe allows BWO coverage where necessary, and more reliable, high performance solid state coverage at lower frequencies. The 8690B Sweep Generator Mainframe provides start-stop sweep, marker sweep, and CW operation functions. Sweep modes are continuously adjustable in four decade ranges, 0.01 to 100 seconds. Two frequency markers independently adjustable over entire frequency range of 0.001 to 40 GHz (depending on the plug-in used). Typical accuracy is 1% of full scale.
