Individual controllers are connected to a backplane, which then contains all external connections to the system, such as power RS-485, card reader, request to exit, door sense switch, and auxiliary I/O. The 8 Door Concentrator was designed as a locking metal, IT Rack-Mountable enclosure with sufficient cable conduit knock-outs to provide maximum installation flexibility. When used with Keri’s KPS-11 10 Amp, 10 output Power Supply, the KDC-8 can supply not only controller/reader power, but also isolated, combined lock power and lock control.
