This LED lamp plugs into your phone jack and uses telephone company electricity to keep you out of the dark. Many times when the power is off the phone jack still works. IF YOUR PHONE JACK IS WORKING SO WILL THIS LIGHT! There’s electricity in that phone jack...not much but plenty enough to drive the new generation of superbright LEDs. 12 Superbright LEDs with rated life of approximately 100,000 hours of continuous use (that's about 11 1/2 years) Lamp blinks during incoming calls, goes off if phone is answered Lamp use will disable incoming calls on some but not all phone systems We do describe all items to the best of our ability and if we see anything wrong with an item we will be honest and tell you about it.
