This is a new 9" inch stainless steel shrinking disc It is made of 16 gage 304 stainless steel which is very hard and durable, with a 90 degree saftey edge, it can be used on 7-9" inch grinders, If comparing ask the other sellers what kind of stainless thier discs are made of is it 304 non magnetic, because thats the best material for this type of tool. It is used to create heat by friction on steel and aluminum by contacting the spinning disc to the work surface then quickly cooling the surface, by misting water, or rubbing a damp rag, or by blowing compressed air over the area being worked.
